So let me tell you a little bit about Insanity Workout and Tony Horton’s P90X:
INSANITY VS P90X - INSANITY AND P90X WORKOUT REVIEWS
This program is a 60 day home workout that is divided into 2 phases, each lasts 4 weeks. During the first phase the workouts are between 35 – 40 minutes. You basically do a different workout each day, 6 days a week and on week 4, you do a recovery week which means that the intensity of the workouts will be less in order to give your body a break before you get going on the next 4 week phase.
The Insanity Workout DVD’s are tough. You are really going to get tested in your commitment to lose weight and get in shape here. This is not for those people who are interested in instant gratification type programs or for those who are after magic pill solutions.
BUT… one of the main benefits of Insanity is that regular people like you and me are seeing dramatic results in record time, like dropping 10 pounds or so in the first couple of weeks, for example!

INSANITY WORKOUT PROS AND WHAT IS NEEDED
One thing that I like a lot about Beachbody Insanity is that you don’t need any equipment. All you need is a pair of good workout shoes and enough room in your house to jump and run in place.
Also, you need to be able to see your TV or computer screen in order to be able to workout along the videos
Another positive is that throughout the workouts, Shaun T (the person who created Insanity) will keep reminding you to take breaks as needed and to always use good form before quantity. In other words, better to do less with perfect form, that way you’ll avoid injuries.
INSANITY WORKOUT CONS
This workout is not for someone who is terribly overweight as it can put a lot of strain on their joints, especially knees and lower back.
Some people who have never exercised before might be put off by the intensity as they might feel overwhelmed
At times the workouts can feel repetitive. At least that’s how it was for me, so take this with a grain of salt. You might be a better fit for this particular style.
INSANITY VS P90X - DOES INSANITY WORK?
Insanity workout dvd’s are a fantastic way for people who want to lose weight by working out at home and who don’t have a lot of time or desire to go to a gym. For those people who actually stick to the program, they can see really good results in just 60 days or hard work. I would totally recommend this program for those people who love cardiovascular workouts!

P90X WORKOUT – DOES IT WORK?
As opposed to Shaun T’s Insanity, P90X is a 90 day home fitness workout that is divided into 3 phases, each lasts 4 weeks. Similarly to Insanity, you will do a series of workouts each day of the week for 3 weeks with a recovery week during week 4.

Each new phase increases in Intensity and variety. This means that your body is constantly adapting to the exercise and this means you are less likely to hit a weight loss plateau. If you have been trying to lose weight for some time, you know how frustrating this is.
P90X PROS AND EQUIPMENT NEEDED
P90X is a great workout. It offers a lot of variety and it focuses on cardiovascular workouts, flexibility, balance and strength. You basically do 3 days of strength training and abs and 3 days of card and flexibility with Plyometrics or jump training, Yoga and Kenpo karate moves.
What I love about P90X is that each day is totally different from the rest and so it never gets old or boring, quite the opposite! Tony Horton’s P90X got me in the best shape of my life and helped me lose 30 pounds in the process. Not bad, huh?
In order to do P90X you will need:
Pull up bar
Yoga mat
Resistance bands or dumbbells
P90X CONS
This workout is for those people that enjoy variety and that like to do many different things. In other words, if your idea of working out means putting your headphones on and running on a treadmill, then this might not be for you.
A lot of people get put off by the Yoga X workout. It takes a long time. 90 minutes. And it is hard. I hated it at the beginning but fortunately I stuck with it and I now enjoy it as I can see the benefits, but it really took an extra effort to not blow it off.
People who are afraid of lifting weights or women that think that they are going to get bulky might not enjoy it much and they are probably better off with Insanity. Having said all of that, one thing that most all Beachbody workout programs have in common is their intense focus in diet and nutrition. You have heard this a thousand times: you can’t out train a bad diet. In other words, it doesn’t matter if you are working out like a mad man. If you eat poorly, you won’t get the results that you want.
Workouts are anywhere between 50 – 90 minutes everyday and that means that people with really tight schedules are either going to have to get up earlier than usual or workout late at night in order to accommodate family time and still manage to get their workouts done.

It is a common thing for those who finish either INSANITY VS P90X is that they found a new way of life and discover a new commitment and love for their fitness and well being.
